The Roberts Lab of Ecosystem Ecology and Biogeochemistry (http://robertsresearchlab.weebly.com/) at the Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium (LUMCON) is seeking at least one research technician in Wetland Biogeochemistry to participate in a series of field/laboratory and manipulative experiments studying the effects of the Macondo Oil Spill on coastal marsh ecosystems.

A Social Media & Science Communication Coordinator is sought for employment at the Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium (LUMCON). Science communication strategies at LUMCON focus on innovation and seeks to catalyzes change through that innovation. One of our highest priorities is experimenting with how our scientists and our brand interact with the public and our peers, rather than just following the status quo.

LUMCON is currently accepting applications for a USCG licensed Able-Bodied Seaman. Vessels are home ported at the LUMCON facility in Cocodrie, LA. and the R/V Point Sur, Gulfport, MS.

The Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium for Research and Education (LUMCON; https://lumcon.edu) seeks to hire two new Assistant Professors in the second phase of multi-year faculty expansion. We invite well-qualified coastal or marine scientists, regardless of discipline, to apply. We are interested in scientists that address a wide range of fundamental problems in ocean and coastal sciences, as well as interdisciplinary research questions, using observations, modelling, theory and/or field and laboratory experiments.
