Research Technician – Roberts Lab of Ecosystem Ecology and Biogeochemistry

The Roberts Lab of Ecosystem Ecology and Biogeochemistry is seeking multiple research technicians to join our interdisciplinary research team in support of projects supported by multiple grants from NSF, BOEM, NASEM GRP, and GCOOS. Coastal, Marine, and Oceanographic Science Faculty

The Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium (LUMCON) for research and education seeks to hire multiple Assistant Professors as part of a multi-year faculty expansion. We are interested in hiring interdisciplinary scientists whose research addresses fundamental and applied questions in the coastal, near-shore marine, and oceanographic sciences. Research Technician – Ocean Biofluids Laboratory

The Ocean Biofluids Lab at Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium (LUMCON) seeks to hire a Research Technician to start as soon as possible. The research focus of the lab is understanding interactions between marine organisms and their physical fluid environments, using imaging and numerical modeling techniques.

Marine Education Assistant/Associate

LUMCON is seeking candidates to fill various positions in the education and outreach program. The role of LUMCON Marine Educators is to support, facilitate, and ensure high quality experiences for all visitors of the LUMCON Marine Education & Outreach Program. This includes leading field, lab, and classroom activities for a wide variety of audiences that visit the Marine Center (Cocodrie) and the Maritime Campus facility (Houma).

R/V Pelican Chef

LUMCON is seeking a Chef for the RV Pelican. LUMCON vessels support science operations and associated functions in the Gulf, Caribbean, and western Atlantic Ocean. Scientists from all over the world are aboard LUMCON vessels for up to 200 days a year conducting research in support of major ocean science initiatives funded by the National Science Foundation, Office of Naval Research, National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, and other federally supported ocean science agencies.
