SCIENCE TALKS

LUMCON’s Science Talk Series is a free lecture series open to the public that provides a wide range of current and emerging topics and issues in marine science that touch the everyday lives of our communities. Speakers are experts in their fields from LUMCON and our Louisiana consortium member institutions with experience in making their topics interesting and accessible for audiences of all ages, with or without a science background.

Join us every Thursday evening for a new and exciting topic. Currently all the talks will be streamed live events. Each talk is 30-40 minutes with time to interact with the speaker. If you miss a talk, no need to worry, each event will be recorded so you can watch whenever it fits your schedule. You can find information on this week’s talk, as well as, future talks and links to recordings of past talks by this link.
